Play Online Roulette Game
Very little strategy is required as the game is completely random and based entirely on luck. A clever player is one who understands the betting possibilities. Straight Up Bet - A chip is placed on one of the numbers. Pays 35:1. Dozens Bet - The numbers between 1 and 36 are divided into three dozens. Column Bets - A bet on which of the three columns of numbers the ball may landon. Pays 2:1. To keep it simple, we'll call him the "dealer" and his assistant the "croupier". The dealer spins the wheel in a counterclockwise direction then flips the ball on the bowl's back track so that it travels clockwise. A dealer (known as a croupier) spins the wheel in one direction and then rolls a small ball in the other direction. The ball then drops into one of the slots as it begins to slow down. The numbers alternate between black and red. When the ball falls into a slot, the dealer will announce thenumber and the color, and place a marker on the layout where the winning numberis. Roulette chips can in fact be any denomination - $1, $5,$25, etc. Inside bets canusually be as small a you like, as long as the total of all your inside bets isthe table minimum. Remember thatyou can bet inside or outside if you like; there's no requirement to bet both ona given spin. If Black hascome up for the last 10 spins in a row, the next spin is not more likely to beRed. Here's another example: Since there are 38 slots on the wheel,we expect any given number to hit 1 out of 38 spins on average. The wheel has no memory. You can certainly switch toanother number if you want, but that won't improve or worsen your chances. The differencebetween the true odds and what they actually pay you is 2/38, or 5.26%. If you play Roulette, the most important thing is to find a casino thatoffers the European wheel (which is called "Single 0" Roulette) Atlantic City has a special rule whichreduces the house edge to 2.7% on even money bets (Red/Black, Odd/Even,1-18/19-36): If 0 or 00 comes up on on even money bet, you lose only half yourbet. European games have an option called en prison which reduces the house edgeto 1.35%, but it's generally not available in the U.S., even in casinos that usethe European wheel. You don't get paid for the win, though, but it's better than losingit outright. Players may bet larger amounts by using $1, $5 and $25 regular. It is important to note that these roulette chips must be cashed in at the table. If that number wins you'll receive 35 to 1 for every chip you have bet. It is up to you to pick up both your winnings and your original bet after the payoff. The dealer knows you are the winner by the color of your chips. In many instances, more than one coloured chip is on a winning number. In total, 38 numbers are represented on the betting layout. It bounces among the slots and finally falls into one of the numbered slots. Incidentally, there are about 90 spins or games played per hour, on average. By design, they alternate between red and black and exactly opposite each other number is the corresponding higher and lower number. Run a ruler or any straight edge across the diagram and you will see that the O is opposite the 00, 1 is opposite the 2, and so on up to the 35 being directly opposite the 36.
