Play Game Roulette Game
Roulette is a popular and classic casino game that is easy to play and has an enthusiastic following in online gaming. Players bet on numbers, spreads of number combinations and colors, generated by the fall of a small ivory ball onto a spinning wheel which is divided into 37 or 38 numbered slots, depending on the version being played. Very little strategy is required as the game is completely random and based entirely on luck. This gives the players slightly better odds. A bet placed on the ball landing on red or black, high or low numbers, odds or even numbers. A roulette table with a single layout is usually worked by two "croupiers". He does this as the ball slows down and is about to drop off the back track. American Roulette is played using a wheel that consists of thirty-eight slots, each with its own number. The numbers alternate pairs of odd numbers with pairs of even numbers. The numbers alternate between black and red. The French roulette wheel has 36 numbers, and only the single zero, unlike the American roulette wheel which has the numbers 1 to 36 but with two zeros (0 and 00) Both the 0 and 00 slots are green in color. A dealer, or croupier spins the wheel in one direction and then rolls a small ball in the other direction. You should always calculate your expectedloss and how long you can play on a given bankroll before playing any game, butwith roulette it's especially important. When the ball is gettingready to drop, the dealer will wave his hand over the table, which means "Nomore bets". Then he'll scoop up all the losing bets towards the dealer area. Sometimes the dealerwill ask you "Inside or Outside? That way, you're not locked inand you always have the ability to change your mind. For outside bets, any bet you make has to be the table minimum. In this way, Roulette is more like slots - one single bet canwin a lot. Here's ahandy way to remember the payouts when you're betting on a set of numbers: Take36 divided by the quantity of numbers you're betting on, and subtract 1. There's an old saying,"The wheel has no memory. Here's another example: Since there are 38 slots on the wheel,we expect any given number to hit 1 out of 38 spins on average. Now let's sayyou've been playing Roulette for a few hours, betting on Red every time, andyou've been keeping track of what numbers have hit. The wheel has no memory. You can certainly switch toanother number if you want, but that won't improve or worsen your chances. Thechances of #27 coming up on a given spin are the same, whether it just come upon the last spin or not - 1 in 38. if you win, thecasino doesn't pay you 37 to 1, they pay you less - 35 to 1. The differencebetween the true odds and what they actually pay you is 2/38, or 5.26%. You don't get paid for the win, though, but it's better than losingit outright. Players purchase special roulette chips, each player with his own color, so that the dealer can tell who made a winning bet and pay off that player. It is important to note that these roulette chips must be cashed in at the table. Additional combinations in this "inside" betting area are: one chip on a six number bet (pays 5 to 1); one chip on any four connecting numbers (pays 8 to 1); one chip on any connecting group of three numbers (11-1); one chip place between two connecting numbers (17-to-1) Red or black pays even odds. The dealer knows you are the winner by the color of your chips. In total, 38 numbers are represented on the betting layout. Each game begins when the dealer (sometimes called croupier) spins the wheel in one direction, and then rolls a little ivory ball along the inner edge of the wheel in the opposite direction. That number is the declared winner for that game. You will notice on our illustration of the standard roulette wheel that the numbers are not consecutively arranged around the wheel. Run a ruler or any straight edge across the diagram and you will see that the O is opposite the 00, 1 is opposite the 2, and so on up to the 35 being directly opposite the 36. The house edge is set at 5.26%, resulting from the player receiving odds of 35 to 1 rather than the true odds of 1 in 36 or 37 to 1. The single-0 European roulette wheel has a house edge of only 2.70%.
