The players begin by making their bets, placing chips on the spaces of the layout in the manner permitted by the applicable rules for the area/state/country etc. ". American Roulette is played using a wheel that consists of thirty-eight slots, each with its own number. Both the 0 and 00 slots are green in color. The ball then drops into one of the slots as it begins to slow down. The numbers alternate between black and red. Sometimes the dealerwill ask you "Inside or Outside? That way, you're not locked inand you always have the ability to change your mind. It most other games a bet usually wins only even money, butRoulette gives you the chance to win 35 times your bet (a winning bet placed ona single number) All the bets on the layout carry the same house edge, with the exceptionof 5-number Line Bet (0, 00, 1, 2, 3), which carries a whopping 7.29% edge!
