Games Online Roulette Roulette is a popular and classic casino game that is easy to play and has an enthusiastic following in online gaming. A clever player is one who understands the betting possibilities. American roulette wheels usually have both the “0” and “00” on the wheel. Six Number Bet - Covers two rows of three numbers each. Dozens Bet - The numbers between 1 and 36 are divided into three dozens. Still others say it originated in an old Chinese game whose object was to arrange 37 statuettes of animals in a "magic square" of 666 (but they fail to describe the method of play) A roulette table with a single layout is usually worked by two "croupiers". The players begin by making their bets, placing chips on the spaces of the layout in the manner permitted by the applicable rules for the area/state/country etc. The dealer spins the wheel in a counterclockwise direction then flips the ball on the bowl's back track so that it travels clockwise. ". Bets placed on the layout after this announcement are not valid and must be returned to the player(s) A dealer (known as a croupier) spins the wheel in one direction and then rolls a small ball in the other direction. That aside, French roulette is very similar to American roulette. Roulette is the game where you guess where the little marble is going to dropon the spinning wheel. The house edge is the same whether youmake one bet per spin or several. In most games players can continuemaking bets even while the ball is still spinning. When the ball falls into a slot, the dealer will announce thenumber and the color, and place a marker on the layout where the winning numberis. That way iftwo players bet on the same number (or set of numbers), then the dealer knowswho to pay, and arguments can't arise over who bet what. Sometimes the dealerwill ask you "Inside or Outside? That's because if you're betting only inside and someone else isbetting only outside, he can give you both the same color chips and there won'tbe any confusion. There's no advantage tolimiting yourself to inside or outside. Roulette chips can in fact be any denomination - $1, $5,$25, etc. Remember thatyou can bet inside or outside if you like; there's no requirement to bet both ona given spin. Here's ahandy way to remember the payouts when you're betting on a set of numbers: Take36 divided by the quantity of numbers you're betting on, and subtract 1. There have been 152 spins (coincidentally,4 x 38), and so we expect that each number should have come up 4 times onaverage. The wheel has no memory. The differencebetween the true odds and what they actually pay you is 2/38, or 5.26%. The Europeanwheel has a lower house edge (2.63%) because it has only 37 slots instead of 38(no 00) European games have an option called en prison which reduces the house edgeto 1.35%, but it's generally not available in the U.S., even in casinos that usethe European wheel. You don't get paid for the win, though, but it's better than losingit outright. A stack of twenty 25-cent chips is valued at $5.00, and a stack of twenty 50-cent chips is worth $10. Usually it takes a minimum of $20 to buy-in at the roulette betting table. The dealer will specify the worth of that particular coloured chip by mating a sample chip which is placed upon the rim of the wheel. The betting layout starts with numbers 0 and 00 at the top, then extends from numbers 1 through 36 at the far end of the table. This area is referred to as the "inside" betting area. If that number wins you'll receive 35 to 1 for every chip you have bet. It is up to you to pick up both your winnings and your original bet after the payoff. The dealer knows you are the winner by the color of your chips. In many instances, more than one coloured chip is on a winning number. In total, 38 numbers are represented on the betting layout. It bounces among the slots and finally falls into one of the numbered slots. All red numbers are opposite the black numbers.
