Corner Bet – A bet placed on the crossed lines in the middle of four numbers. Pays 8:1. A bet placed on the ball landing on red or black, high or low numbers, odds or even numbers. Dozens Bet - The numbers between 1 and 36 are divided into three dozens. 1-12, 13-24 and25-36. Pays 2:1. Column Bets - A bet on which of the three columns of numbers the ball may landon. Pays 2:1. There are two standard styles of roulette tables found in American casinos. Players may continue placing bets while wheel and ball are still in motion until the dealer yells (says) "No More Bets! ". Remember thatyou can bet inside or outside if you like; there's no requirement to bet both ona given spin. If that number wins you'll receive 35 to 1 for every chip you have bet. A bet on 1 to 18, or 19 to 36, pays even money. In total, 38 numbers are represented on the betting layout. Each game begins when the dealer (sometimes called croupier) spins the wheel in one direction, and then rolls a little ivory ball along the inner edge of the wheel in the opposite direction. It bounces among the slots and finally falls into one of the numbered slots.
